Kerenssa Perez, formerly named Kerenssa Herrera Soria, is a family law associate at Moreno & Associates Law Firm, APC. She primarily practices family law. Mrs. Perez attended the University of California, San Diego where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a focus on Law and Society. Following college graduation, Mrs. Perez worked for Legal Aid Society of San Diego providing supervised legal advice to the indigent population of San Diego. Born and raised in San Diego, Mrs. Perez saw the practice of law as a tool to assist people in some of their most vulnerable times.

During law school, Mrs. Perez interned at the San Diego Public Defender’s office where her love for oral advocacy began. Mrs. Perez was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board where she coordinated and planned intra school competitions and won third place on an appellate advocacy  competition. This ultimately allowed her to be invited to participate in a prestigious summer program exclusively focusing on oral advocacy skills taught by the best public defenders and district attorneys in San Diego.

Following her graduation, Mrs. Perez has primarily worked in family law proceedings, including, but not limited to, dissolution of marriage, paternity, custody and visitation, domestic violence, spousal support, child support, property division and control. Mrs. Perez zealously advocates for her clients by understanding their needs and expectations and diligently working towards achieving her client’s goals.
